Divan Bed question
|
A divan bed with the divan base, mattress and headboard all made by the same brand. The mattress is pushed up to the headboard but the mattress slightly overhangs the end of the bed. Without a headboard it would fit perfectly on the divan base. Is it normal and satisfactory for a mattress to overhang the divan base due to the headboard encroaching on the divan base?

As you say that "Without a headboard it would fit perfectly on the divan base", the headboard is obviously the problem. If the headboard fixing is slotted, slide it further up and push the mattress up the bed, under the headboard.

Maybe you should have thought about splashing out more on a water bed?

Thanks Alan, looks like the headboard might not fit in the two holes in the divan base if it's raised to fit just over the mattress. I'll contact the firm who I bought the bed from, they've got good customer care. Just strikes me as odd that this issue exists on a purpose built bed!?

Surely the headboard would hang on the outside of the base. Then the mattress would not overhang.
And this has fuck all to do with West Ham.

Mother of God there can hardly be any remaining subjects left to discuss on here
Therefore entire sites devoted to general discussion, yet people like this prick asks about a bed on a West Ham website.
It's like he spent a few days going through the history of WHO trying to work out if there was anything never discussed and this was all he could come up with.

It's Health and Safety. If the mattress overhangs the base you can't bash your shins into the base while stumbling around in the night. Bet you never thought of that.

Apparently Mumsnet are discussing why we didn't sign a striker in January.

That's good to know. Maybe we can assemble a goalscorer from environmentally-friendly white vinegar and lemon juice?
